This is me starting to document the development of an e-poetry collection with the working title ‘Tube’, based in and around the London Underground. I intend to post up individual pieces as they are completed (though ‘completed’ pieces may always be rewritten, remixed or abandoned as the work as a whole takes shape).
Many of the pieces will be video-heavy, which will hamper the eventual display/distribution of the entire work online, so my first task is to find some cheap hosting space to allow me to (at least) display the individual pieces, plus their source flash files. As with other ongoing projects I’m a part of (Flight Paths, remixworx), I like to include the Flash source files so that anyone who wishes can download and remix their own versions. This does require owning the full Adobe Flash software, which I’m well aware is outside the budget of most people. Unfortunately I’ve yet to find any software that allows me to create what I want in a free open-source software with the distribution reach of Flash, but I’m open to any suggestions.
